On April 25, 2024 (Thursday), BC Mandarin School organized the "Beijing New Life Information Session" to share very practical life topics for wives who are new to Beijing, such as shopping, ordering food, and taking a taxi.

They said that the teacher was very attentive in preparation. Some of the words and sentences were exactly what they needed to communicate with the property management staff recently. After learning, they became more confident in communicating with them. 

After the session, we went to the Chinese local market with high quality and low prices. On the one hand, they practiced the sentences they had just learned, and on the other hand, they experienced the lively market atmosphere.

It is interesting that "cauliflower"，northerners say "菜花cài huā" and southerners say "花菜huācài ", and which is different from "broccoli".

We also learned that the word "甩shuǎi" on the price tag means "sale" ……

At noon, we tasted Beijing's hot pot, which was very interesting to the wives who had just arrived in Beijing.
