Hanfu is the traditional dress of the Han Chinese people, Hanfu is the representation of China’s “Dress the country”,”Country of etiquette and rites” and “Spledid China”, and carries China’s dyeing and weaving technology and unique aesthetics.

On November 21th, 2023 (Tuesday), BC Mandarin School successfully organized a Hanfu cultural experience event at the Song Yan Restaurant, the premier cultural atmosphere in Beijing.

Firstly, the members of the study tour group changed their clothes. Wearing beautiful clothes on themselves, they can feel the exquisiteness of this art even more. There is also a headdress, of course cannot leave it behind. After dressing up, everyone took beautiful photos in the antique space, and then listened to the introduction of Hanfu prepared by the teacher and learned about the origin and development history of Hanfu.

Then came the ceremonial dining session, where every dish was carefully introduced by Song Yan’s staff. The literati of the Song Dynasty had special requirements for food, paying attention to color, aroma, taste, shape, and utensils. They also believed that food should be exquisite and nourishing. Everyone can feel this characteristic in Song Yan’s food.

During the meal, the members of the study tour group enjoyed beautiful singing, dancing and instrumental music performances. Not only that, everyone also learned about the unique title of "Young Lady", which was a unique way of addressing people in the Song Dynasty. At that time, no matter whether they were acquaintances or not, everyone could use "娘子niáng zǐ（lady）" to call you. If you are younger, they can call you "小娘子xiǎo niáng zǐ（Young Lady）".
