In the beginning of autumn, BC Mandarin School organizes teachers, Japanese business students and their families to take a one-day trip to the suburbs of Beijing. In the morning we went to Mentougou for a hike, and in the afternoon we visited the Shijingshan Shougang Park. We spent a fulfilling weekend together.

Shuanglong Gorge is located in Mentougou, west of Beijing. It is a national 3A-level scenic spot and is known as "Little Jiuzhaigou". Entering the scenic spot, we boarded the cute little red train, which was full of cinematic feeling.

Before trekking, we went boating at the Yulong Lake pier, followed by light rain into the mountain, stepped on natural stone steps, and listened to the sound of gurgling water, quiet and healing. After a few breaks, we finally reached the Sun Moon Lake Waterfall.

In the afternoon, we came to Shijingshan Shougang Park. Some people in the BC tour group said that they wanted to come long ago but they had no suitable opportunities. The industrial-style buildings in the park left a deep impression on everyone, and even Starbucks coffee is unique.

Soon we were attracted by the eye-catching 60-meter platform. We learned that the platform is unique in its design, and the graceful curve on the side matches the image of the Dunhuang "flying" streamer. Here, there will be a competition of snowboard and freestyle ski jumping events. There are 4 small events and 4 gold medals. We can imagine the scene of athletes playing tricks in the air after the jumping platform is covered with snow.

After the visit, we came to the "old gathering spot", the Haidilao hot pot smart restaurant. The new corporate student said that this was the first time to come to this restaurant and was quickly infected by the lively atmosphere. Our “old fan” from Haidilao was surprised to find that the face-changing performance has been upgraded. In addition to the Sichuan Opera facial makeup, cartoon characters such as Doraemon and Spiderman have also been added. Children are also invited to touch Doraemon’s face, which is so funny .

After a good meal, we came to the Mexican bar as usual, while tasting the craft beer, while learning the skills of billiards, the happy weekend ended perfectly. BC Mandarin School will continue to provide students with a wealth of exchange activities, so that everyone in a foreign country can also feel the warmth of family.
